Converting A Saiga - Rough Overview
Sheik Yerbouti's Saiga Conversion website is a great start if you are looking to convert a Saiga yourself, specifically a Saiga rifle. Keep in mind this was created some time ago and some of the material may be a little dated. There's much respect due to him for his time and energy invested in getting all this data assembled and uploaded.
Step # 1 - Remove the 2 rear pins and completely disassemble.
Step # 2 - Remove the bottom receiver plate/triggerguard and cut PG nut hole.
Step # 3 - Paint receiver bottom and reassemble.
