Rental Fees - Fees are based on one firearm for one week maximum. From when I send it out it needs to be back within 2 weeks+/- or I will start docking $10 a week from your deposit. Basically when you get it, use it and return it within one week.

Damaged/Missing Equipment - Users are responsible for any and all damage and missing parts by paying full replacement costs. This means any chips or damage whatsoever. I have seen it all. Whoever let their dog crew up the cutting fluid bottle, I hope he is O.K..

Tips for Threading - Many times guys forget to remove the Thread Alignment Tool (TAT) after they get 4 or so threads started. They then bottom out the TAT on the barrel face and rip the threads out of the TAT, Die or both. Also don't just crank the die on there, it will break. Remember to break the chips (back off) after 1/6 to 1/4 of a turn so you don't load up the die. I include cutting fluid with all rentals, but if you run out or need more, use something like Cool-Tool, Tap Magic or even brake fluid.

Proper Sizes - Just because you want a certain threading on your rifle, do not assume the threading die will work! Measure the barrel O.D. where you will be threading. If the diameter is 0.020" larger than the die size, forget about it. The die will break and your barrel will be screwed up. The recommended sizes above are assuming that you didn't cut your barrel back as most are tapered or increase in diameter the shorter you go. If you have any doubts, please contact me via email first.

Threading 7.62x39 and 5.45x39 Saigas: To thread these rifles, you must remove the front sight block shroud in front of the FSB tower to expose the barrel and thread for 14x1 or 9/16-24. Also, they have a full 1" of barrel in front of the FSB, so you will need a brake/hider that is threaded at least 1" deep inside. If you have a brake/hider, I look at it and determine if it can be threaded deeper for a fee.

Threading .223 Saigas:Most of the older .223 Saigas have a larger barrel o.d. at the muzzle. I offer a 15x1 kit for these rifles. Many of the newer 223 rifles have a smaller barrel o.d., same as the 7.62x39 Saigas, and can be threaded for 14x1 or 9/16-24. Determine your barrel o.d. before selecting the proper threading die.

Threading .308 Saigas: The .308 Saigas come with two distinct barrel o.d.'s under the FSB. 0.631" which can be threaded for 5/8-24 and 0.671" which can be threaded for M17x1. Also the front sight block will need to be removed, decapped and bored to sit further back on the barrel. Going one pin rearward seems to be the popular choice as it allows you to reinstall the FSB with the existing front pin, then drill & install a new rear pin. The move also exposes enough of the barrel to get past the taper and allow enough area to be threaded. For further information, see the 308 FSB Page and the .308 FSB Removal/Install .pdf file below.

# 308FSB - $35.00 - .308 FSB Rework (decap & bore to sit one pin back or thru bored for cut off barrel - includes drill bits for pin reinstall)

Threading Saiga Shotguns: The threading kits for the shotguns are only recommended for ones with cylinder bore only. If you have a full choke model, the barrel will need to be cut back enough to remove the taper in the bore. See the S-12 threading .pdf file below. S-20 and S-410 threading supplements to be added soon. If you need specs for those let me know.

Barrel Cutting: For those who have cut their rifle or shotgun barrels back, I now offer Crowning Tool Rental for all rifles and shotguns. Instructions below.
